Juan F. Carrillo

He carried out his musical studies in the Conservatorio Superior “Manuel Massotti Littel” in Murcia, where he obtained his advanced Percussion Professor Degree with Mr. José García Abellán.  Furthermore, he specialized his studies with classic, contemporary, latin, african, flamenco and jazz percussion courses, with well-known professors such as: Jan Putjens, Anders Loguin, Josep Vicent, Ali `N`Diaye Rose, Manel Ramada, Lucas Van Merwijk, Arthur Lipner, Rubem Damtas, Chano Domínguez, Jos Wuytack, Salvador Niebla, and Paquito Baeza.


In 2002 and thanks to a scholarship given by  the Seneca foundation, he developed his post graduated studies of contemporary percussion with Mr Joseph Vicent.

   

He also collaborated with different musical ensembles such as “Conservatorio Superior of Murcia Symphonic Band”, “Symphonic Band of the Federation of Bands from Murcia Region” and “Murcia Symphonic Orchestra”


He had also carried out different courses as a professor; the most significant ones are: 1st  Course of Afro-Latin Percussion “World Percussions” developed in Almoradi (Alicante) in May 2002, and 1st Percussion Meeting in the Music School of Santa Cruz de Abanilla (Murcia) as director and professor.  This meeting took place  from 4th to  6th October 2002.


He was a member of the Conservatorio Superior of Murcia Percussion Group, a founder-member of the Percussion Quartet “ENËRTIC”, and soloist percussionist of the plectrum Orchestra “Camarata Aguilar” of Murcia. 


At present he is Percussion teacher in the Conservatorio Superior de Murcia.
